Simple, straightforward and delicious. Love this place. The ambiance, the service and of course the food. Love how they are paying tribute to service members. If I had to change anything, I'd make it a little warmer inside. My food got cold pretty fast cause the A/C was set pretty low.
Thank you,
I'll be back for sure. -

This is my first time at Mission BBQ in Kenosha.
Restaurant was clean and seemed well organized. There is no table service. You walk up to the counter place your order and wait until they call your name, you pick up your food and take it to the table.
Service was fast and employees were very friendly.
As for the food. We got the pick 3 meat sampler. We got the Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, and the Jalapeno Sausage.
Along with the meal was a piece of corn bread.
I'll start with my favorite item.
The Jalapeno Sausage was amazing! Great tasting with the right amount of cheddar cheese mixed in and a nice bite of spice with the Jalapeno.
Me, I like it a little hotter but my wife said it was already a bit much for her so I believe it would be perfect for the average person that likes a little heat. The Pulled Pork was dry and a little bland. You definitely need to use sauce to get this down.
The Beef Brisket was way over cooked!
They must store this in beef broth until ordered to keep it from drying out. You go to pick it up with your fork and it just falls apart and is very mushy.
As for the BBQ sauces they offer, they have 6 types on the table and 2 at the counter with the other condiments and drink station.
Most of them were a little over done with chili powder. However I did like the Georgia Mustard, the Baja Bold, and they have one that has some Old Bay Seasonings in it that was very tasty.
The greatest thing I like about Mission BBQ is they really cater to the Veterans. Thank you for that.
Overall, I enjoyed my time at Mission BBQ. I'll give them another chance. Maybe this was just an off day. -

Really happy mission BBQ came this way! For any newbies (like I was) the way you order is you come thru the doors that leads straight to the cashier there is a board above with all their menu items you pay first then sit and wait. It is all fast paced so you will be called within like 10 mins, if that! They have so many kinds of bbq sauce, my favorite is the smoky mountain! Not too sweet and of course the smoky part is my favorite! We always get the brisket, moist (I have yet to try lean!) and NC style pulled pork sandwich, which is coleslaw added to your pulled pork. Their baked beans is seriously a meal all in itself! I looooove it so much we usually get a quart of it lol. Baked Mac and cheese is also really good!! Love the crispy parts of the cheese when they bake it. And their French fries are OK. A little soggy which I makes sense because I think they make it there. Would be better if they deep fried it twice. But still I love this place over the other options of bbq in Kenosha! Definite must try!
(Btw they do the national anthem everyday at 12) -

In the area on work and I'm slightly regretting coming here. Not because the food was bad or the service wasn't great, but because everything was so amazing and they don't have any in the Minneapolis area yet!! We showed up an hour before closing and they were so welcoming and friendly! They never seemed annoyed or rushed to get things done and close up. I ordered the jalapeno sausage and pulled pork and they were both fantastic. I had ordered before they graciously gave me a 3rd sample - this time of the turkey - and had I tried that before ordering I would've subbed the sausage for turkey (although the sausage was amazing too). I just did a side of fries, but they were exactly the way I like them - a little crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and perfectly salty. Their sauces, especially the mustard, were fantastic. I guess I'll be making more work trips to this area!

After a 20 minute trek, I rolled up on a smoker truck outside of a restaurant. That impressed me. I had the sampler. The taste was ok. The skin on the sausage was a little thick. The pulled chicken was good but I wasn't impressed with baby rib. The ambiance in the restaurant is nice. There is a army/ PD theme is great!
